Flexible Expansion Loops

OVERVIEW: 

ML Loop flexible pipe loops from Flexicraft are the premier alternative to inline expansion joints for introducing necessary system flexibility. While traditional inline joints subject anchors to massive pressure thrust loads, ML Loops completely neutralize these forces internally. High-tensile stainless steel braiding (up to 14" braided models) and integrated structural tie rods (on 16" to 36"+ Universal Tied bellows models) entirely restrain internal pressure thrust, ensuring anchors only feel the remarkably low spring rates of the loop itself.

Designed for installation versatility, loops can be oriented vertically or horizontally within tight overhead utility corridors. They offer a significantly smaller footprint than traditional hard pipe loops and provide vital thermal and seismic protection. Available with any pipe fittings, this series is optimized for data center mission-critical cooling networks as well as for many other systems.

  • BRAIDED ML U LOOP

    Braided ML U Loop flexible pipe loops for standard movements of +/- 1-1/2" or 4" in all three directions. The standard loops come with 150# flanges, weld, grooved, or any other pipe fitting. They can also be made to order for any movements or ends specified. All stainless versions, other fittings, and special movements are all available. 1" to 14" sizes.
  • BRAIDED ML V LOOP

    Braided ML V Loop flexible pipe loops for standard movements of +/- 2" or 4" in all three directions. The V loop is an alternative to the standard U loops provided by Flexicraft for tighter spaces. The standard loops come with 150# flanges, weld, grooved, or any other pipe fitting. ML Loops can also be made to order for any movements or ends specified. All stainless versions, other fittings, and special movements are all available. 1" to 14" sizes.
  • COPPER ML LOOP

    Copper ML Loop flexible pipe loops come stocked for movements of +/- 1-1/2" or 4" in all three directions. The standard loops come with female copper sweat ends for copper pipe system. Copper ML Loops can also be made to order for any movements, and in nests for parallel piping lines. 1/2" to 4" sizes.
  • CSA/AGA ML LOOP

    Selected sizes, designs, and materials for the ML Expansion Loops have been tested by the CSA / AGA for use on gas pipe lines. These loops are used primarily in seismic zones to minimize the possibility of gas line ruptures.
  • NESTED ML LOOPS

    Nested ML Loops can be used in parallel pipe runs to keep all the expansion devices at one location and to save space.
  • SEISMIC ML LOOP

    The ML Loop isolates seismic movements in piping systems and on piping equipment.
