BRAIDED ML U LOOP

OVERVIEW

The Flexicraft Braided ML U-Loop is a pre-engineered flexible piping loop expansion joint, designed to eliminate severe anchor stresses in piping systems. Traditional inline expansion joints subject system anchors to massive pressure thrust forces and high spring forces demanding costly structural steel reinforcement.

Because the internal fluid forces are contained symmetrically by the continuous high-tensile braid corset, the ML U-Loop entirely eliminates pressure thrust loads. Piping anchors are only required to overcome the exceptionally low natural lateral spring rates of the pipe loop.

FEATURES

• Zero Anchor Thrust: Restrains hydraulic pressure forces within the braid, relieving structural anchors of immense pressure loads.

Temperature Correction: Working pressures must be derated at elevated system temperatures using the standard correction factors in the submittals.
