The Ultrasphere is the most widely applied rubber expansion joint available today, and the Ultrasphere Twin provides a bit more movement. The floating metal flanges freely rotate for easy installation, and it comes with tapped holes which eliminate the cost of nuts. Drilled holes are also available.
The Ultrasphere Twin with Cables is just like the Ultrasphere Twin with one big difference: no control units are required. The cables that are supplied at the factory act as control units, which are normally installed in the field.
If you are not sure if you need control units, or if you don't want them installed on-site, this is the right choice. Ultrasphere Twins are used exactly as the standard Ultrasphere expansion joints, but it allows greater compression.
