The Slidex 1 Slide Guide 280 is in the family of slide guides that also act as supports provided by Flexicraft, and is best suited for 1" to 4" diameters. The maximum load is 10,000lbs, and is derated with temperatures up to 400F. (Slidex 2 is for 5" to 8", and Slidex 3 is for 10" to 24" diameters.)
The slide guides use a fixed base and heat cured Teflon PTFE slide bearing pad with a sliding section that is welded to the pipe, unless a clamp option is needed. They are also available with a pre-insulation, or in stainless steel. (Contact factory for clamps or pre-insulation.)
They are ideal for use with expansion joints such as those provided by Flexicraft. They are available with a weld down base or a bolt down base, and for 4" or 10" of movement. The slide guides are to be used in an upright position, supported from the bottom, and their maximum recommended load is dependent on temperature. See the pdf submittal sheets for more details.
